I had a great time BAFTA Guru Live, attending (amongst other things) brilliant sessions with Director Carol Morley, Editor Chris Wyatt, Production Designer Eve Stewart, Line Producer Christine Healey, Camera Op Philip Sindall and Script Editor Kate Leys. And one to ones with Ben Coren (Film London) and Kevin Dolan (Film4). I also met a few potential new crew members. A good day!

Secret Life of Boys – Animated Title Sequence for BBC and ABC Australia

I designed and directed the #animated #titlesequence for Secret Life of Boys a brand new interactive comedy drama for kids (directed by Bafta winner Beryl Richards). Vimeo link HERE
Secret Life of Boys a groundbreaking interactive comedy for distribution on tablet/phone/laptop of 25 x 5mins will also be re-versioned as 5 x 30 min show on CBBC and ABC Australia. It pioneers new techniques where the viewer can interact with the screen to prolong the jokes, see a different and funny perspective on the story and hunt for secrets.
The story of Secret Life of Boys concerns Ginger an 11 year old Australian girl who has to spend her summer holidays with her Aunt Corey and Uncle Bob and their 4 boys – ages 9, 11, 12, 14. She's an only child who is very unused to living with boys, so they all have to learn to get along. And throughout the series, we learn she is hiding a very big secret¦

New Short Film A Mountain to Climb featured on NOWNESS

A Mountain to Climb has been launched by cool arts & culture website NOWNESS.
"Nowness is a video channel showcasing contemporary culture through film. Every day we premiere a new video that gets under the skin of the most influential names across art & design, fashion & beauty, music, culture and food & travel."
Shot in three days, on a Canon 5D, by director of photography Peter Ellmore (Wizzo) and starring actor Moj Taylor. The film explores what happens when an artist loses their way:
"A man with writer's block goes on an imaginary journey in his house to unlock his imagination."
The film was co-art directed by AKQA Creative Director Gradwell Sears, edited by Whitehouse Post's Charlie Harvey, coloured by Goldcrest's Diana Vasquez (supervised by Rob Pizzey) and is set to a beautiful original score by Oliver Davis at We Write Music. The VFX and post services were carried out at Munky by Fabio Vona and Miguel Algora (supervised by Gary Brown). Lighting equipment was supplied by Panalux.
The character, Christopher Wish, writes a story in the film. This is an original piece of work by Ben Manley and will be published in full later this year.

Rebecca has just finished designing & directing the title sequence for new children's drama series Secret Life of Boys through Indy8. The show was commissioned by CBBC in the UK and ABC3 Australia and is directed by Bafta winner Beryl Richards.
¦Zodiak Kids Studios, the production arm of Zodiak Kids, has secured a brand new interactive drama commission for its UK division. The Secret Life of Boys is a series of 25 five minute segments which will be available first on CBBC and ABC3 online, playable on mobile viewing devices and computers, and will also be created as a 5 x 30 series for the channels¦During the show there are opportunities for the user to click around and uncover extra punchlines¦
